Board of Directors

LESLIE CHARD, PRESIDENT

Mr. Chard is an attorney and business executive specializing in the development and commercialization of new technologies.  These range from founding the HDMI standard to building numerous successful start-ups.  Mr. Chard has a long history of community development experience, having served on the board of several CDFIs in Chicago and in San Francisco. A Mission District resident and former board member of MyPath’s partner credit union, Mr. Chard was instrumental in the development of LifeSaver/SalvaVida, the first alternative payday loan program in San Francisco and in the development of Bernal Bucks, a debit card program designed to support local businesses and non-profit organizations. Mr. Chard has a BA (mathematics/computer science) from Wesleyan University and a JD from the University of Cincinnati. Mr. Chard has served on the MyPath Board since 2010.

ROHIT GERA, TREASURER

Mr. Gera is currently the Chief Strategy Officer and oversees all Direct-to-Consumer brands for Gold Bullion International, LLC.  In his role, he also manages the Global Marketing and Product organizations.  He brings, to MyPath, a deep experience in growth-focused product design and development, digital marketing, and strategic value creation, largely in financial services . Mr. Gera also brings experience applying these approaches in the nonprofit sector. He has a BBA from Bernard M. Baruch College and an MBA from Duke University.  Mr. Gera is a resident of New York City and has served on the MyPath Board since 2016.

KIMBERLY JOHNSON, board MEMBER

Ms. Johnson is currently a Senior Communications Officer at The James Irvine Foundation. She brings nearly two decades of experience in strategic communications to her role as a MyPath Board member. Prior to joining the Irvine Foundation, Ms. Johnson was a strategy and communications consultant to nonprofits and unions. She also served as a Director on the Learning Team at Spitfire, a public interest communications firm with a focus on building the strategic communications capacity of nonprofits and foundations. She is a San Francisco resident and graduated from The University of Arizona with a BA in communications.  Ms. Johnson joined the MyPath Board of Directors in 2021.

Anthony Michael Abril, board MEMBER

Mr. Abril is a Senior Manager at The Bridgespan Group, a nonprofit advisory organization that collaborates with social change leaders including both nonprofits and funders. Anthony originally joined Bridgespan’s SF office in 2016, where he spent 6 years, and then re-joined in 2024 after completing his master’s degree. Anthony has supported nonprofits and philanthropists across a range of issues including education equity, economic mobility, racial justice, and place-based change, and he co-authored “The Impact of Large, Unrestricted Grants on Nonprofits: A Five-Year View.” Prior to Bridgespan, Anthony worked on the Research and Policy Analysis team at Education Trust-West, where he supported advocacy to improve policy conditions and equitable outcomes for students of color in California. Anthony has also served as a Fellow and Advisor to Harlem Children’s Zone on their Wealth Builds initiative. Anthony earned a BA in Sociology with an Education Minor from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.   Mr. Abril is a Boston resident and joined the MyPath Board in 2024.

Wing-See Fox, board MEMBER

Ms. Fox is the Managing Director of the Public Finance Group at Urban Futures, Inc. (UFI).  Wing-See has over a decade of experience in the fields of municipal advising, public finance, and municipal securities.  She has worked on over $3 billion in municipal debt offerings for cities and special districts in California.  Prior to joining UFI, Wing-See was a Vice President at Raymond James Public Finance, and her investment banking experience also includes work in the Municipal Securities Group at UBS Investment Bank in New York.  Additionally, she has a decade of nonprofit sector experience, formerly serving as the CEO of Prevent Blindness Northern California and as the Outreach Director for Palo Alto Family YMCA.  Wing-See received an MBA from Columbia Business School, a Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University School of Social Work, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Stanford University.  Ms. Fox is a Bay Area resident and joined the MyPath Board in 2024.

Amadeos Oyagata, board MEMBER

Mr. Oyagata, born and raised in San Francisco, is dedicated to the intersection of community and economic development, leveraging his background in policy advocacy and workforce initiatives. As a former youth advocate, program assistant, and policy associate at MyPath, he has organized for economic justice, served as Youth Commissioner for San Francisco’s District 9, and gained experience as a Career and Academic Coach for young people.  A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, with a B.A in Social Welfare, Amadeos is committed to fostering equitable economic opportunities in historically underrepresented and low-income neighborhoods through collaborative solutions that drive sustainable change. Now residing in Cambridge, MA, he is pursuing a Master’s in Urban Planning at Harvard University.  Amadeos joined the MyPath Board in 2024.
