Our Youth Financial Capability Design & Innovation Hub

MyPath’s Wealth Equity Lab (WELab) is the first of its kind youth financial capability design and innovation hub. More than 300 consultants and volunteers work alongside MyPath staff and youth leaders to develop innovations that build pathways to wealth-building for BIPOC youth.

BUILDING THE FIELD OF YOUTH FINANCIAL CAPABILITY

Our findings are shared with the youth financial capability field through partnerships with the National Youth Employment Coalition and Aspen Institute-sponsored groups such as the Consumer Insights Collaborative, nLIFT, and the Opportunity Youth Forum.

Additionally, MyPath leverages partnerships with regulatory bodies such as the FDIC Advisory Committee on Economic Inclusion and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to demonstrate the impact of early and ongoing financial capability interventions on wealth-building toward advancing youth financial inclusion.

“I choose to engage with MyPath to support eliminating the racial wealth gap, bring financial capability resources to youth and other nonprofits; and to try to change systems that create barriers to financial capability through policy and programs.”
